Pretty little pans
I'm not normally a glittery Girly. However, the additional of mica to watercolor paints has taken over my paintings. One of my favorite things about the addition is that the glittering isn't in your face obvious. It's subtle. When the painting is shifted, or a light hits it just right it sparkles.
Interestingly mica is commonly used in cosmetics for its shimmering properties. It's a silicate mineral that has been ground into a fine powder. In order to use the mica in watercolor I've added a watercolor binder that allows it to play with other watercolor paints.
